While the spiritual aspects of Death Midwifery are widely acknowledged as the most important part of this calling, LifeRites believes that an understanding of the practical necessities of dealing with death and dying are also essential. This practical work provides a solid core of experience on which all ministry is built.
This is why the Death Midwifery Course runs alongside the LifeRites Foundation Course. Although the two courses are tailored to their specific subjects, there is a degree of commonality. This means that if you complete one course, you will be eligible for a short cross-over course, enabling a LifeRites minister to become a death midwife and vice versa.
